Your experience begins with a conversation.
After your inquiry, we’ll connect personally to hear about your wedding, your vision, and the moments that feel most meaningful to you. Once you’re booked, we’ll have another dedicated conversation to get to know you beyond the details of the day, to hear your story, understand what makes your relationship special, and discover the details you want remembered.
Because the most meaningful paintings are personal, my goal is to know you well enough to create something that could belong only to you, a piece of art that preserves not simply how your wedding looked, but how it felt to be there together.
From there, we thoughtfully choose the moment and setting that will become your painting. Perhaps it is the two of you within the architecture of your venue, surrounded by the landscape and florals you chose so carefully. Perhaps it is a quiet moment during the ceremony or another fleeting part of the day that you never want to forget. When a custom portrait reference is needed, I’ll create it with you during your couple portraits. For moments that unfold naturally throughout the celebration, I’ll work from photographs captured that day.
The live event! As your wedding unfolds, so does your painting. Your guests have the pleasure of watching the scene emerge throughout the celebration as I capture your likeness, and preserve the architecture, landscape, florals, light, and atmosphere surrounding you. The result is more than a portrait of the couple. It is a portrait of how the moment felt on that day, together.
After the celebration, your painting returns with me to the studio, where I carefully refine the final details and allow the piece to fully come together. Once complete, it is professionally finished, varnished, carefully packaged, and sent home to you as a one of a kind heirloom.
The Materials matter. I paint with Italian oil paints and oil paints made by a local North Carolina paintmaker. Each piece is painted on a sturdy, archival gessoed wood panel rather than flexible canvas. The rigid surface provides exceptional stability and helps protect the layers of oil paint from movement and flexing that can contribute to cracking over time. The rich, luminous colors and layered brushwork create a traditional fine art finish designed to be enjoyed for generations. Made without plastic materials or synthetic canvas, each painting is crafted as a timeless work of art. All Packages include shipping in price. Artist travel is discussed during the consultation call.

LIVE WEDDING PAINTING
Grace paints your wedding day live in oils for approximately 4–7 hours, capturing a meaningful moment chosen by you. Guests will love watching the painting come to life and interacting with Grace throughout the process.
The painting begins at your wedding, capturing the atmosphere and beauty of your day as it unfolds. Afterward, Grace brings it back to her studio for the finishing touches and a special surprise.
Each service also includes a complimentary 5x7 hand painted gesso canvas, created as a gift for someone special in your circle. Whether it captures a bride walking down the aisle with her father, a grandparent, or another meaningful moment, it is a small painting with a big meaning.
Your finished painting and keepsakes are carefully packaged and shipped together, including the handmade keepsake from the live event, the palette used to create the painting, the special 5x7 gift, and a personal letter.
Grace will arrive one hour before the ceremony to set up and begin the background. After capturing a photo of the couple in the chosen scene, she will continue painting at the reception. The painting will be approximately 90% complete by the end of the night, with the final details added in the studio before being varnished, packaged, and shipped.

I create elegant, expressive watercolor illustrations of your guests throughout your celebration. Set within the atmosphere of your wedding, my painting station becomes part of the experience as your guests watch their portraits come to life and receive a one of a kind keepsake from your day.
I paint each illustration by hand using professional artist quality watercolors, capturing the personality and spirit of the people who make your celebration special.
Illustrations may be created for individuals or couples with approximately 10 paintings per hour. If a guest does not have the opportunity to receive their portrait during the event, I can complete their illustration in my studio afterward and send it to you for distribution.
You may also choose to keep the illustrations together rather than distributing them at the end of the evening. I can send the completed portraits to you as a collection for you to use as personal thank you cards or meaningful correspondence after your wedding.
If there are guests that do not receive a illustration by the end of the night, the rest of the paintings are completed in the studio and shipped to the bride and groom to ensure everyone receives a keepsake.
Intimate
Perfect for elopements and intimate celebrations, this experience allows me to create personalized portraits for your closest guests while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and personal.

Travel & Destination Events
I love traveling to create paintings for your special day!
Local Events: Events located within one hour of Apex, North Carolina are considered local, and travel is included in your painting package.
Events More Than One Hour Away: Events located more than one hour from Apex will have an additional travel fee based on the distance and travel required. This may include mileage, tolls, parking, and other necessary travel expenses.
Overnight & Destination Events: Events requiring overnight travel will include the cost of lodging and necessary transportation in the travel fee. For destination weddings requiring airfare, the cost of flights, lodging, ground transportation, and other necessary travel expenses will be included in a custom travel quote.
All travel fees will be discussed and agreed upon before your booking is finalized, so you will always know the total cost before securing your date.
